What if I don’t like my product and want to return it?
If you don't like your rug for any reason you simply can return it - no questions asked.
The following is Domestic Modern’s return policy;
+ All customers who want to return a product must contact Domestic Modern to receive a return authorization number prior to shipping the return.
+ All orders must be returned unused and properly packaged within 30 days of the date of purchase. It is your responsibility to ship the item back to the manufacturer. (we will provide you with the appropriate address in this situation) Additionally we recommend you insure the shipment to protect yourself against being responsible for any possible damage while in transit.
+ A full refund will be provided on all returns minus our shipping charges. You are responsible for coordinating the return shipping. Once the manufacturer receives the returned product you will receive your refund.
+ All returns will be shipped back to the manufacturer, NOT to Domestic Modern. The return address will be provided with the return authorization number.
+ If the order is received by the manufacturer; soiled, damaged, or improperly packaged the manufacturer and Domestic Modern reserve the right not to accept the return.
What if my product arrives damaged?
Although all of the products are very carefully packaged and damages are very rare – they do occur. If you receive your product and it is damaged the following policies apply;
+ You must contact Domestic Modern within 24 hours of the receipt of any damaged product.
+ In order to process a damaged product claim we will need a photo of the damaged product as well as a picture of the packaging it came in.
+ You will receive a return authorization number so you may return your product to the manufacturer.
+ In the case of a return due to a damaged product you will NOT have to pay any return shipping charges, and will receive a full refund once the manufacturer has received your return.

How does your low price guarantee work?
Because we sell our entire collection of modern and contemporary rugs at the lowest retail price we stand by our commitment to provide a high quality product at the most competitive price. So if you do find a lower price online for any of our rugs either before or after you have made your purchase we will match that price. If you have already made your purchase we will simply refund the difference.
With regards to our low price guarantee the following terms and conditions apply;
+ The price match guarantee applies only to U.S. based authorized retailers of the rugs we carry. All competing prices must be accurate and the meet manufacturer’s guidelines.
+ The price match guarantee only applies to new rugs and not refurbished, or used rugs.
+ The price match guarantee does not apply to rugs sold on auction sites.
+ All comparison prices must include all components of the rug and include shipping charges as well.
+ To submit a price match inquiry please send an email to service@domesticmodern.com and include a direct link to the product listing. Additionally all post sale inquiries must be made within 7 days of your purchase.

What are your standard shipping procedures?
Domestic Modern provides free shipping on all orders. Once your order has been placed your product will ship within 5-7 business days. In most cases we will ship via common carriers (UPS, FedEx). However with larger items a freight carrier will be used. Please note we will not ship to PO Boxes.
What is a freight carrier and how does that work?
When an item is too large or too heavy to be shipped via a standard carrier like UPS or FedEx we will use a 3rd party carrier who will ship the item directly to your residence. In which case the carrier will call you 1-3 days before delivery to make the appropriate arrangements. All products that are shipped with a freight carrier will be dropped off at curbside. Please note you must be home at the time of delivery to accept the product on this type of delivery.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Please allow 5-7 business days for your to product to ship. Once shipped your product will travel ground.
Will you ship outside the U.S.?
No. We only ship within the U.S. Additionally free shipping and standard orders are only available to residents within the 48 states. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska and would like to order a product from Domestic Modern please contact us so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
No we do not - only standard shipping. However all of our products ship directly to you from the manufacturer so shipping is as fast if not faster than with most other online retailers.

How do I place an order?
Orders can only be placed on our website and not over the phone. We accept all major credit cards including; Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. All orders placed on our site are secure and all credit card information is encrypted via SSL.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes you can cancel your order, but only before it leaves the warehouse. If the product has already left the warehouse you cannot cancel your order and would have to simply return the product. To avoid such a situation we recommend that you make a decision to cancel within 24 hours of placing your order.
Do you accept checks?
Yes we do. To place an order with a check payment must be received and cleared before your product will ship. For our address to mail a check to please visit our contact us page.
Do you charge tax on orders placed?
No. Only customers in the state of Ohio will be taxed. If you are an Ohio resident tax will be added to you order after it is placed.
